Jason M. Hendrix

Jason Hendrix joined the staff as the Director of Communication in April 2018. In this position, Hendrix plans and directs all aspects of communications while managing and implementing all media strategies that foster the daily relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets to enhance the Foundation’s reach and impact on the sporting community in the state of Florida.

Additionally, Hendrix coordinates media coverage for the Sunshine State Games and Florida Senior Games, the Foundation’s two signature amateur athletic sports programs, as well as marquee events centered around Major League Baseball’s Grapefruit League, and the many events supported by the Foundation’s grant program.

“Coming back home to Tallahassee to serve this great community and the state of Florida is a dream come true,” said Hendrix. “Florida holds a dear place in my heart and is the foundation of where my family and career path began.  I am excited to join the FSF team and continue to provide high quality coverage for the great events, communities, and athletes that compete in Sunshine State. I’m very excited and thankful for the opportunity to work with Angela Suggs and the FSF staff.”

Hendrix returns to Tallahassee after serving most recently as the assistant director of athletics communications at DePaul University in Chicago, Ill.  Prior to DePaul, Hendrix served as director of sports information at Georgia Gwinnett College where he led the communications efforts for one of the nation’s most successful NAIA programs and also handled the media relations efforts for the Association of Independent Institutions.

He is no stranger to the Tallahassee area as Hendrix served as the director of sports information at Thomas University (Ga.) for two years prior to leading the Georgia Gwinnett communications department.

Hendrix, who completed his master of sports management at Florida State University in 2011, is an active member of CoSIDA, where he has presented at the national convention on multiple occasions and actively serves on the New Media Committee and Goodwill & Wellness Committee.  Over the last five years, he has been honored with three national awards for media guide cover design at the collegiate level. He obtained his bachelor of business administration, concentrating in management information systems, from Georgia College & State University in 2009. In October 2018, Hendrix was named the 2018 Outstanding Recent Alumni by Georgia College.

A native of Palmetto, Ga., Hendrix is married to the former Rosilyn Lammers of Leesburg, Fla.
