Entry Requirements

Online registration available at www.heartandsoulboxing.com

1. Each tournament participant (Boxers, Coaches, Officials, Physicians, Tournament Administration, etc.) must be registered with USA Boxing for the 2016 membership year, and have proof of registration (Athlete, Coach or Officials passbook with Passbook Validation Label). Coaches and Officials must be currently certified.
2. Entry fees are $25 for athletes (including an official Sunshine State Games t-shirt) and $10 for coaches. NO REFUNDS.
3. All participants must pre-register online by Friday, May 20, 2016 @ 9:00 PM Eastern Time
4. All participants MUST be pre-registered. No on-site registrations.
5. Athletes and coaches can late register after May 20 until May 26 with an increased registration fee of $35 for athletes and $15 for coaches.
6. All participants must be present at weigh-in on Friday, May 27th with a current USA Boxing Passbook.

Format

  1. Tournament will be single elimination format with championship bouts taking place on Sunday.
  2. Additional bouts will be offered for non-advancing boxers.
  3. Gold, silver, and bronze (2) medals will be awarded to the top four finishers.

Sport Rules

  1. This tournament will be conducted in accordance with USA Boxing rules.
  2. The age of a Boxer is determined using his/her year of birth.
  3. Men and women boxers ages 35 to 40 shall declare age classification upon registration with USA Boxing, either as a Senior/Elite or Masters boxer. Rules and regulations pertaining to Masters boxing can be found in Appendix H of the USA Boxing Rulebook.
  4. Men and Women Boxers between the ages of 19 to 40 are categorized as Elite and Senior Boxers.
  5. Boys and Girls Boxers between the ages of 17 to 18 are categorized as Youth Boxers.
  6. Boys and Girls Boxers between the ages of 15 to 16 are categorized as Junior Boxers.
  7. Boys and Girls between the ages of 8 to 14 are categorized as Prep Boxers. The age of the Boxers must not be over 14 years old. The range of the ages of the boxers participating in these competitions must not be more than 2 years (See Appendix F of the USA Boxing Rulebook).
  8. Prep Boxers (Girls and Boys) – minimum age 8, using the actual birth year, maximum age 14.
