Tampa's Value/Pawn Shut 'Em Down, winners of the 2007 Sunshine State Games
Adult Flag Football Championships, regained the number one
ranking of the Latest State Poll, by winning the Sanford SRT A
Division Championship held the weekend of April 5-6.
Going back to 2007 competition, Shut 'Em Down has now won three
A Division Championships and two B Division Championships in the
last five tournaments. Over that span, Shut 'Em Down has
compiled a 21-2 record and is three points shy of being
undefeated in the last 23 games.
With a 12-1 record in 2008 SRT play, Shut 'Em Down is more than
one point ahead of second-ranked CFL in the latest standings.
Two more State Ranking Tournaments remain and currently six
teams have played in the four SRTs to date and are eligible for
the State Championships. 11 teams have competed in three
SRTs and need one more tournament to qualify and 10 teams have
competed in two SRTs and need two more qualifying tournaments.
The next State Ranking Tournament is the Palm Bay SRT, to be
held April 26-27 at the Palm Bay Regional Park. Entry
deadline is April 21 at 1:00 p.m.
