With ideal year round weather and incredible facilities, Florida is Where the World Comes to Play. If it's golf you want, at last count, Florida boasted more than 1,100 golf courses. A natural home to fishers and boaters, Florida offers over 1,000 miles of coastline, 8,426 miles of shore line, approcimately 7,800 natural lakes and 12,000 miles of rivers and streams.

Florida is home to nine major professional sports franchises in Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, National Football League and National Hockey League. Additionally, NASCAR, the Daytona 500 and the PGA Tour, LPGA and the PGA of America, all call the Sunshine State home.

Sports in Florida combine for a $44.4 billion industry that provides over 431,000 jobs to citizens of the state.
