Florida International Senior Games & State Championships Sports and Registration

The 2013 Florida International Senior Games & State Championships will be held in Lee County, December 7-15. 2013.  The 2013 Games WILL NOT be a qualifier for the 2015 National Senior Games.

As of April 14, 2013, a total of 459 Florida senior athletes have registered to compete in the 2013 National Senior Games, to be held in Cleveland, Ohio, July 21-August 1, 2013.

In the grid below, athletes can link to the sport of their choice where they will be able to find tentative information and general rules of competition. This information is only listed to give prospective athletes an idea of what to expect at the 2013 Games.

Thanks to all athletes who competed in the 2012 Florida International Senior Games & State Championships and best of luck if your plans include a trip to the 2013 National Senior Games.  Registration deadline for the 2013 National Senior Games is May 1, 2013.

UPDATE: The 2013 National Senior Games Schedule has been been released and Online Registration is now open for qualified athletes (as of November 14)

10K Road Race
Dates: Saturday, December 7, 2013
Location: Centennial Park - Downtown Fort Myers - 2000 West First Street, Fort Myers, Florida 33901
Entry Fee: The cost is $20 by October 31st, $25 November 1st – 16th, and $30 onsite. Online registration will be available at www.active.com beginning around August 15. Athletes must register with the Lakeland Runners Club. Registration for this event will NOT be done through the Florida Sports Foundation.
State Championships Qualifying: Road Race does not require qualification at a Local Senior Games.
National Qualifying: 2013 is not a qualifying year for the National Senior Games.
Other: The Fort Myers Track Club's River Run 10K will serve as the Florida International Senior Games & State Championships for athletes 50 and over.  All event management, including registration, will be through the Ft. Myers Track Club.   Athletes must register with the Fort Myers Track Club at www.ftmyerstrackclub.com. Registration for this event will NOT be done through the Florida Sports Foundation.
