Honoring Florida's Sunshine State Games Gold Medalists Over
the last three months, Sunshine State Games competitions have been
going on throughout the state. Over 1,100 individual gold
medals were awarded to Florida's Finest Amateur Athletes.

opportunity to brag a bit to friends, family and neighbors about
their performance at Florida's only Olympic-style Sports Festival.
The FSF thanks all of the athletes, volunteers and the
Polk County Community that made the 30th Anniversary Games such
a success.

athletes competed in 19 sports over the Sunshine State Games
weekend of June 12-14.
The
Florida Sports Foundation is a proud supporter of the 2009 BCS
National Championship Game in Miami, on January 8, and Super Bowl
XLIII in Tampa, on February 1, 2009. Both events will bring
significant economic impact and national publicity to Florida.
